Take MARTA To NEW YEAR’S Eve Weekend Events MARTA Rail System to Run 24 Hours on New Year’s Eve

Published Dec 29, 2006

MARTA is the best way to get to all Atlanta area events New Year’s Eve weekend, with 24 hour rail service on New Year’s Eve and extra service running throughout the weekend to accommodate customers attending the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, Peach Drop and celebrations all over town.

On Saturday, December 30th, trains will run every 15 minutes on the North/South line and every 10 minutes on the East/West line before and after the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.  On Sunday, December 31st, trains will run every 15 minutes on both lines until 2:00 a.m.  North Springs trains will then turn around at Lindbergh Station, and rail service will run every 20 minutes the remainder of the night.

Due to the large crowds expected at both events, customers should purchase round trip fare at the beginning of their trip to avoid waiting in long lines.  Parking for less than 24 hours is free at all MARTA parking facilities.  Some bus routes will be re-routed for both the Chick-Fil-A Bowl parade and the Peach Drop.  Please visit www.itsmarta.com or call Customer Information at 404-848-5000 for more information on MARTA’s holiday weekend service.
