Mount Pisgah Christian School’s Taylor Hall signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Army. During his senior year, the quarterback completed 92 of 178 passes for 1202 yards and 12 TD’s.
“Taylor is a leader on and off the field. He didn’t miss a single workout during the summer thru the season. He led our team by example,” said Pisgah head coach Doug Dixon. “Taylor told me when I arrived at Pisgah in early April that his goal was to play at West Point. He has a goal to one day fly jets. It is exciting to see a person work so hard and achieve their goals like Taylor has done.”
Hall’s family has quite a history at Army. Taylor’s father Leamon Hall was a standout quarterback at Army from 1974-1977; his grandfather, Homer Smith, was the head coach at Army from 1974-1978; and an uncle, Ren Hall, was also a quarterback from 1981-1983.
“It feels really good,” Taylor said. “It is a big relief to get into the school of my dreams.”
Hall will enter West Point’s prep school in the fall and hit the field for the Black Knights for the 2009 season.
Hall also plays baseball for the Patriots and was on Pisgah’s 2006 basketball team that won the GISA State Championship.
