The Mount Pisgah Christian School football team dropped its second game of the season to Whitefield 40-24 on Saturday night. The Patriots overall record now stands at 2-2, with a 0-2 mark in Region 5-A.

Freshman quarterback Kyle Sloter led the Pisgah offense, finishing the night 15-of-29 for 181 yards and a touchdown. Senior Brad Bostic scored on an 88 yard kickoff return and added eight catches for 105 yards.

Whitefield took an early lead on a four yard rushing touchdown by Finus Hudson. After a Whitefield fumble that was recovered by Bryant Laursen, FeDale Hall scored on an eight yard run and then added the two-point conversion to give the Patriots an 8-7 lead. Whitefield scored three more touchdowns before halftime and led 30-8 at the break.

Pisgah’s final two scored came in the fourth quarter on Bostic’s kickoff return and Sloter’s four yard touchdown pass to Danny Schneider.

The Patriots travel hit the road next week to take on Holy Innocents at 7:30 p.m. at Riverwood High School.
