Alpharetta, GA…David Eristavi, Director of Coaching for Alpharetta Recreation & Parks Department Ambush Soccer Club, was named Georgia State Soccer Association Boys Coach of the Year at the GSSA annual meeting on January 27, 2007.
David has held the Director of Coaching position with Alpharetta Ambush since 2004. As DOC he oversees the coach and player development for over 450 academy/select/recreational players. He also coaches several top level boys teams including the Ambush U-14 boys red team, U-13 boys red team, and U-9 boys academy group.
David’s love and knowledge of the game of soccer has translated into a career beyond his professional playing and coaching days. As a coach and trainer of young people, he demonstrates a true desire to share all he knows about the sport with the players he meets. He is best-known for building a player of lifelong skill through player development. During his time with Alpharetta Recreation & Parks, David has helped build a strong soccer program that attracts the highest quality trainers and players. Mayor Pro Tem Jim Paine commented, “The City of Alpharetta is fortunate to have David involved with our young people and we congratulate him on being named Georgia State Soccer Association Boys Coach of the Year.”
