The 150-voice Michael O’Neal SUMMER Singers present Maurice Duruflé’s choral masterpiece, Requiem.  Based on Gregorian chant, this piece is among the most beautiful choral music of the 20th century.  The music is filled with emotion and provides moments of thrilling excitement and sections of profound poignancy.  The program will open with the Cantique de Jean Racine by Gabriel Fauré.  Organist Tom Alderman will be featured performing the solo work Carillon de Westminster by Louis Vierne.
