The Chattahoochee Nature Center continues to evolve and expand to meet the growing and changing needs of the region. As construction continues on its brand new Discovery Center and Pavilion, set to open in 2009, a new focus to encourage adult discovery and adventure also continues.

One of the primary goals at CNC is Life Long Learning, a goal developed as a result of member surveys and focus groups. The CNC wants to encourage adult discovery and adventuring, and it all starts with appreciation.  

“The knowledge gained through our education programs leads toward action.  We will give you the skills and the resources to take action, and make a difference in your life.  All of this is a part of Life Long Learning,” states adult programming director, Amy Bram.  

 “Through adult programming, the Chattahoochee Nature Center can enrich your life with natural encounters and unique cultural experiences. In the spring, we began a quarterly hike series led by local experts. In the fall, we are highlighting our new Chattahoochee River Canoe Discovery Series. This is just the beginning of a new era for adult programming at the Chattahoochee Nature Center,” emphasized Ms. Bram.

In addition, the Chattahoochee Nature Center has more than two miles of woodland and river boardwalk trails, each with its own unique sights and sounds. There are numerous resting spots on the trails that allow hikers to take a breath and enjoy the seclusion.

The fall is the perfect time to get outdoors, and appreciate the beauty of nature.
