Sixth Annual Holiday Decorating Contest

Break out the tinsel and the lights, it’s time for the Sixth Annual Holiday Decorating Contest sponsored by Georgia Power and the City of Roswell. This event gives each residence, subdivision, business, religious and civic organization the opportunity to share their holiday spirit with the community. This year, the public is invited to participate by selecting the People’s Choice Award.

Three winners will be selected from each of the following categories: residential, subdivision entrance and business/religious/civic organization. Prizes for each category are first place- $100, second place- $75, third place- $50 and the People’s Choice- $75. All winners will be recognized during a City Council meeting.

To participate in the People’s Choice Award, residents are encouraged to download a map of entries at www.roswellgov.com and drive by to view their displays. Once you’ve decided on your favorite, simply visit www.roswellgov.com and submit your favorite during the week of December 8-11. Write-in favorites are also accepted.

To enter, visit www.roswellgov.com and fill out the online form, or print and return to the City of Roswell, Attn: Laura Sidelinger, 38 Hill Street, Roswell, Georgia 30075 or fax to 770.594.6414. All entries must be received by December 5. Judging will take place during the week of December 8-11 in the evening. All entries must be visible from the street. Judges will look for creativity, originality, thematic elements and overall design quality.
