The Roswell City Dance Company celebrates the close of its 12th season with a first-ever red carpet awards ceremony. The Red Carpet Ceremony will be held Monday, May 19 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Centennial High School Auditorium at 9310 Scott Road, Roswell.

Dancers from age seven to eighteen will walk the red carpet, along with family and friends, as they are honored for awards for Technical Excellence, Achievement in Dance and Attendance. Specific awards include Dancer of the Year, Parent Volunteer of the Year and The Lifetime Achievement Award. Approximately 70 Roswell City Dance members and their families will be in attendance. The ceremony will be emceed by Roswell City Dance Directors Shannon Childers and Cherrise Wakeham and will include a short video presentation.

Roswell City Dance concludes its most successful competition season ever including honors for Choreography, Costuming, and Performance. Overall first place efforts have been recognized for several dances performed by Roswell City Dance including Earth IntrudArs!, Childhood Dreams, choreographed by Travis Wall of Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance, We Insist, Vogue, The Promise, and Sun. Dancers have also been recognized as title winners at several competitions including: Sam Neas (12 year-old male company member) with Mr. Junior Starpower, Mr. Junior Starquest, and Mr. Junior Showbiz; Taylor Bradley (15 year-old male company member) with Mr. Starpower and Mr. Starquest; Alexa Luke (14 year-old female company member) with Teen Miss Starpower and Teen Miss Starquest; and Holly Robinson (17 year-old female company member) with Miss Starquest.
