With the current drought affecting everyone, caring for your lawn is of critical importance. Learning how to manage your turf is the first step in achieving a healthy water-wise landscape. Join us for a workshop on Tuesday, April 15, from 6:30-7:30pm with Louise Estabrook, Agriculture and Natural Resource Agent from the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension. The workshop will be held at the City of Alpharetta’s Engineering/Public Works Building at 1790 Hembree Road, Alpharetta.
You will learn which practices are beneficial, as well as which are detrimental. Learn how to identify common plant problems in your yard and solutions for what is troubling your yard. This will help to reduce the amount of pesticides used on your property (from widespread application) and save money. Using pesticides (herbicides and insecticides) properly and sparingly will help to protect the quality of rivers, lakes and streams.
The workshops are held in partnership with Fulton County Public Works Water Services, the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service and the Clean Water Campaign.
The workshop is free but you must pre-register. For more information and to register for the event, please contact:
