Chemique Adhesives, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of a commercial adhesives company based in the U.K., announces the addition of Roswell resident Joe Orr as North American Operations Director. Orr’s responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations of the Atlanta office and conducting client services. In addition, he assists with sales of the Solfre2 product line and the complementary adhesive application equipment.
Solfre2, Chemique’s most representative environmentally friendly product, is a two-component, solvent-free polyurethane adhesive completely free from volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Solfre2 utilizes a technology new to the United States to fully meet current environmental regulations and allow for spray application (in addition to bead and roller).
Orr says, “It is exciting to be a part of the company that brought a new adhesive technology to the United States. And not only can I sell this new product to all my clients, I can also provide Chemique’s Total Package Policy, offering the right product, with the right application and the right after-sales service.”
Orr, a University of Georgia graduate, is a 10-year veteran of the adhesives industry. Prior to joining Chemique, he worked for three other adhesives companies where he sold one-component adhesives. He possesses a broad knowledge of the industry as a whole from researching market reports and attending tradeshows.
Atlanta-based Chemique Adhesives, Inc. was established in 2004 as a subsidiary company of England’s Chemique Adhesives and Sealants Ltd, pioneers in the development of solvent-free polyurethane adhesives for over 20 years. The company serves as a stateside solution for adhesive and adhesive application needs for a wide array of manufacturing industries, including: architectural panels, cleanroom, recreational vehicles, foam conversion, raised access flooring, furniture and many others.
