Lt. Governor Casey Cagle released the following statement regarding the May revenue figures:

"Today's state revenue numbers speaks volumes to the fact that we need to remain focused on tightening our belts and lowering our spending. We should continue to be diligent in doing more with less and make wise budget decisions that are in the best interest of our long-term financial health. While we have seen the economy dip nationwide, we have much to be proud of in Georgia and I am confident that if we stay the course, Georgia's economy will continue to lead the southeast
