Keep Roswell Beautiful is pleased to announce their Environmental Video Competition open to all students attending schools in Georgia (Elementary through Graduate) and students who are residents of Georgia. Students are invited to submit a short video on an environmental issue facing Georgia. Entries must be received by 5 p.m. on February 12, 2009.
For the contest, independent or group productions will be accepted. At least one person in each group must be a student at a Georgia school or be a student who is a resident of Georgia. There are three categories: Elementary and Middle School (grades 1 – 8), High School (grades 9 – 12) and College (undergraduate and graduate). First, second and honorable mention awards will be given in each category and there will be one grand prize winner.
Winners will be chosen by a group of independent judges and announced in March 2009. Winning productions will be shown at the Keep Roswell Beautiful 20th Anniversary Celebration and Environmental Film Festival in April. Over $9,800 in cash prizes will be awarded.
The Environmental Video Competition is sponsored by Keep Roswell Beautiful, CWS (Community Waste Services) and Caraustar.
