Erosion and Sediment Control Fund Committee to Meet

Published Jun 1, 2008

Roswell's Erosion and Sediment Control Fund committee will meet Monday, June 2, 2008 at 7 PM to ratify the use of $73,122.11 for a Lakes & Ponds program project at Martin’s Landing. The project, approved by Mayor and Council at the May 7, 2007 City Council Meeting, provides $100,000 for the project. The project entails dredging key areas of the lake and tributaries and stabilizing channels leading into the lake.

Prior projects undertaken under the City’s Lakes and Ponds Program have improved water quality (lower temperature and turbidity and higher dissolved oxygen) and made the pond a more stable, sustainable feature.

The erosion and sediment control committee is comprised of the Mayor, the two council members assigned to the Public Works/Environmental department, the City Administrator, the Director of Public Works/Environmental, the Director of Community Development, and the Director of Transportation.
