Angelina Griego, owner of local pet grooming salon Alpharetta Heavenly Pooch, is a self-proclaimed animal lover who turned her skills and experience doing people hair for over a decade into a successful grooming business. Griego says a friend of hers got her into the business and she has enjoyed providing quality grooming services to area pets for the past eight years.

Alpharetta Heavenly Pooch performs the typical grooming services pet owners expect such as bathing, professional cutting, brushing, and nail trimming and combines this with cutting edge pooch pampering like hot oil treatments. Griego states there are treatments available for dogs with allergies, sensitive skin issues, and hair loss. Griego is also excited to be participating in the upcoming Pet Fair in March of 2008, which is a big event for groomers.

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday, Griego works until all her canine clients are done. Though she does take walk-ins, she recommends making an appointment. Most dogs are done within an hour and a half and owners are contacted as soon as their dogs are ready to be picked up.
