On Sunday, July 27, Milton welcomed the opening of its largest new business since our City became incorporated in December of 2006: Super Target. Located at 13055 Highway 9, just north of Windward Parkway, Super Target is the first of many businesses to open in the new Deerfield Place shopping plaza.
Councilmember Tina D’Aversa and Director of Public Safety Chris Lagerbloom were on hand to welcome the Target team and Buffie Trent, the General Manager. Council had been working with Target staff since May in preparation for the grand opening.
“The new Super Target is perfectly placed to serve so many Milton citizens and our neighbors in and around State Highway 9,” said Councilmember Tina D’Aversa. “Mayor Lockwood and I, the City staff and council are so happy to have Target serving the city. Store Manager Buffie Trent and her team have welcomed everyone with open arms to the new store. We appreciate the generosity they are showing to our schools and other community organizations.”
This Super Target houses a pharmacy, grocery section, optical and photo center. The hours are Monday through Saturday from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. and on Sundays from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.
Other stores that will be joining Target in Deerfield Place are Kohl’s, Staples, Petco, Firehouse Subs, Payless Shoe Source, Famous Footwear, Mattress FIRM and more.
