Police Chief Ed Densmore and his command staff are actively recruiting law enforcement professionals for the city's first Police Department, set to launch in April.
"We are seeking honest, mature and disciplined law enforcement professionals with strong personal ethics, effective interpersonal and decision-making skills and solid judgment," said Densmore.
Around 56 sworn officers will staff the Department when it opens its headquarters at 11445 Johns Creek Parkway adjacent to Johns Creek Municipal Court.
Only Peace Officers certified in Georgia who meet the minimum requirements of the Lateral Transfer Program will be considered for the first testing period, scheduled for the first three weeks of February. That testing will be for Current Positions in Uniform Patrol, Traffic Division and the Criminal Investigation Division.
